How We Work

Welcome! We're pleased that you want to become a part of Apricot Home.

Here's how we work:

Items will be reviewed when you bring them in. There will be items that we may not be able to sell or don’t fit with or vision for the store. Please understand that our customers' preferences are used as our selection guidelines.

Items must be clean with no stains, odor, excessive wear, pet hair, fading or sun-bleaching no rips or holes. Items must be ready to sell. Items are to be brought to us in clean condition. In the event you choose to bring in your item(s) and have not taken the time to properly clean it for display, we may choose not to sell the item or the price of them item will represent its received condition. If we do agree to take an item that needs to be prepared for display, there will be a $25 cleaning fee.

We will get the best possible price for you. A Buyers Premium is added to all merchandise. Apricot Home retains Buyers Premium.

You receive 60%** of the sold price for furniture items brought into the store; if a piece of furniture is picked up by Apricot Homes staff, you will receive 50% of the sold price.

Non-furniture items that fall in the small home decor category, including but not limited of 50%

Commission checks will be cut at the end of month. Consignors must come to the store to sign for their commission payment unless prior arrangements have been made.

Items are placed on the sales floor as soon as possible. The selling price will be reduced by 20% after the first 30 day, and every 30 days thereafter until sold. If items do not sell in 90 days you may pick them up with no fees incurred. If you pick up your items before the 90 days there will be a $25 fee. No item will be released without payment of storage fees due.

If you would like to retrieve any unsold items call us 48 hours in advance and we will attempt to have your item(s) ready for you. If you do not wish to pick up the remaining unsold items they become the property of Apricot Home.

Items we do not take: Clothing, entertainment centers, appliances, electronics, items with missing hardware, televisions, lamps with missing, faded, or torn shades, lamps that do not work or have frayed wiring, baby furniture, clear glassware, or other items at the discretion of Apricot Homes staff.

We will do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not responsible for theft, damage or loss.
